Some weddings stay with you long after you’ve delivered the gallery. Katlyn and John’s intimate Tuscany wedding at Villa Fonteintanata is one of those celebrations. They spent two beautiful days surrounded by rolling hills, olive trees, golden Tuscan light, and the people they love most.

A Two-Day Destination Wedding in Tuscany

Their wedding weekend began with a relaxed rehearsal dinner in the garden of Villa Fonteintanata. Their closest friends gathered around one long table, surrounded by olive and orange trees. Meanwhile, a private chef prepared homemade pizza right in front of them. Stories were shared, glasses of Italian wine were raised, and laughter filled the garden. It was simple, warm, and personal—the perfect beginning to their destination wedding in Tuscany.

The following morning, the villa slowly came to life. Katlyn got ready with her bridesmaids, while John spent the morning with his closest friends. There was laughter in every room. At the same time, you could feel the excitement and nerves building before the ceremony. One of the most emotional moments came when John sat down to write a love letter to Katlyn. As he put his feelings into words, tears slowly rolled down his cheeks.

Instead of a traditional first look, they chose something even more intimate. Standing back-to-back, they held hands and read their handwritten letters aloud without seeing each other.

They laughed. They cried. And yes, I cried a little behind my camera too.

An Intimate Wedding at Villa Fonteintanata

Their outdoor ceremony was elegant, yet wonderfully personal. White flowers framed the ceremony space. Around twenty of their closest family members and friends gathered to celebrate with them. Afterwards, everyone enjoyed homemade cocktails, local cheeses, and fresh grapes. Then, they sat down together for an intimate Italian dinner. Heartfelt speeches brought both laughter and tears to the table. Meanwhile, the villa’s private chef prepared the dinner using fresh local ingredients. Everything felt relaxed, intentional, and deeply connected to Tuscany.

Golden Hour in the Tuscan Countryside

As the sun slowly disappeared behind the rolling hills, we slipped away for portraits. No complicated posing. No pressure. Katlyn and John simply wandered through the Tuscan countryside together. They walked between the vineyards and ran down the hills. They danced in the golden light, teased each other, and eventually forgot about my camera completely. These are always my favorite photographs. They feel less like posed wedding portraits and more like memories from an old film. As evening settled over the villa, everyone gathered for gelato and a beautiful berry wedding cake. Afterwards, Katlyn and John shared their first dance beneath the warm lights.

And then came the perfect ending. Still wearing their wedding clothes, they jumped straight into the swimming pool with their friends. Their laughter echoed through the villa long after sunset. Their wedding wasn’t about following every tradition. Nor was it about creating a perfectly planned day.

Instead, it was about celebrating their love exactly the way they wanted to. And that’s what made it unforgettable.
