Northern Italy Elopement – Embracing Every Kind of Weather

Joy and Noah have been friends of mine for a long time. They live in Minnesota, but they have always loved Europe, the mountains, and nature.
So, when they asked me about places to celebrate their elopement in Europe, I was excited to help. Together, we searched for their dream location. Finally, we found Castle Wangen Bellermont in South Tyrol. The historic castle is surrounded by mountains and beautiful nature. It felt intimate, romantic, and full of character. Most importantly, it felt like Joy and Noah.

An Autumn Elopement in South Tyrol

Joy and Noah wanted to embrace the beauty of autumn. Therefore, we chose warm brown, orange, yellow, and dark green for their color palette.
Once we found the castle, I brought the whole team together. We planned the flowers, ceremony, table setting, and sweet table. In addition, an Alpine-shaped cake completed the autumn theme.

Then, the elopement day arrived. Instead of sunshine and singing birds, nature brought us different guests. Clouds, wind, and dancing rain. And they were perfect. The rain made the autumn colors look even richer. Meanwhile, the clouds created a beautiful, moody atmosphere around the castle. Joy and Noah didn’t hide from the weather. Instead, they embraced every second of it. They exchanged their vows in the rain. They laughed in the wind. Afterward, they danced outside during their couple session with a vintage car.

Later, we continued the celebration inside the castle. The warm table setting felt even more cozy while the rain fell outside.
Looking back, I can’t imagine their elopement with blue skies. The rain belonged to their story.

What If It Rains During Your Elopement?

Many couples dream about perfect weather for their elopement in Northern Italy. However, nature has its own plans.
You can choose your location, flowers, outfits, and decorations. But you cannot choose the weather. And that’s completely okay.

The weather doesn’t decide how beautiful your elopement will be. You do. Rain doesn’t ruin a wedding. Wind doesn’t ruin your photos. Clouds don’t make your day less beautiful. In fact, unexpected weather can make your story even more special.
