From Lago di Braies to Schloss Nikitsch – A Magical Wedding in Austria and Italy

In autumn 2023, I had the joy of capturing Jaqueline and Peter’s love story. It all began with a styled wedding photoshoot at the iconic Lago di Braies in South Tyrol, Italy. This stunning lake, known for its turquoise waters and dramatic mountain views, was the perfect setting for romantic, cinematic portraits.
Just a few months later, the couple asked me to photograph their real wedding at Schloss Nikitsch, an exclusive wedding venue in Burgenland, Austria. This seamless transition—from a dreamy elopement-style shoot in Italy to a heartfelt wedding in Austria—was truly magical.
Every detail of the wedding was filled with personal touches. For instance, Jaqueline and Peter lovingly created their own floral arrangements with help from family and friends. Additionally, the day before the wedding, they all gathered to decorate the dinner tables together. As a result, these hands-on preparations added a heartfelt and emotional atmosphere to the entire celebration.
When the wedding day arrived, emotions were high from the very beginning. There were happy tears, joyful laughter, and unforgettable moments from start to finish. During golden hour, we stepped outside to capture their wedding portraits in soft, glowing light. Consequently, these timeless images beautifully reflect their deep connection and true love.
Later in the evening, the couple surprised everyone with a choreographed first dance. Undoubtedly, it became one of the highlights of the night and perfectly set the tone for the celebration. Soon after, the dance floor came to life. Friends and family joined in, filling the space with joy, love, and pure happiness.
